Term dates

The new term begins on Monday 25 April 2022. Please note, there will be no classes on Monday 2 May or Thursday 2 June.

For now, the Monday classes are continuing at the Old School Community Centre in Cumnor (except on the last Monday of each month when we'll be at the Cumnor United Reformed Church instead). We'll be back at our Oxford (Botley) venue in September 2022.

Because of the ongoing coronavirus situation, the number of places is limited to avoid crowded classes so booking is essential.

Attendance of a 1-hour weekly class costs £77 for the term (11 weeks), or £84 for the 12-week Wantage term. Special offer for new students: pay for the term and get one lesson free! So for an 11-week term you pay £70 instead of £77.

New class members are always welcome. Email Loreley to book your place.

If you've never been to a belly dance class before, the start of each new term is an excellent time to join one! We'll begin with the absolute basics. Don't worry if you think you've got two left feet and a total lack of coordination, or you just feel very self-conscious - relax! The classes are fun, friendly, and a great way to unwind. You'll learn how to belly dance move by move. No previous dance experience necessary.

Pay weekly option: £8.50 per class. Please check there is a place available for you before attending.

Email Loreley for payment details and to check that places are available.

All class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Private tuition

Loreley also offers private tuition. Email loreleyrice@gmail.com or call 01367 710652 or 07472 345222 for further details.

What to wear

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in, such as leggings or joggers and a T-shirt, and bring a long scarf or shawl to tie round your hips. You can either dance barefoot or wear flat, flexible-soled shoes e.g. soft ballet shoes. Eventually you may find you want to dress up more in a colourful skirt, top, and hip scarf dripping with beads and coins!
